This Privacy Policy applies to three categories of individuals: Account Holders (those who register to create surveys and forms), Respondents (those who complete surveys or forms created by Account Holders), and Visitors (those who browse perspicx.com without an account). When you register for an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you purchase a paid subscription, we collect billing information including your name, billing address, and payment card details. Payment card data is processed exclusively by Stripe, Inc. on our behalf. Perspicx does not store or log full payment card numbers.
When you use our platform to build surveys and forms, we collect the content you create, including questions, answer choices, logic flows, and design configurations. When you use our AI features to generate survey content, we process your prompts and instructions to return AI-generated outputs.

If you choose to register or log in using a third-party authentication provider (such as Google, facilitated through Stytch), that provider may share certain profile information with us, such as your name and email address, as permitted by your settings with that provider. When respondents complete a survey or form created by one of our Account Holders, that response data is collected and stored on behalf of the Account Holder. Perspicx acts as a data processor with respect to response data. The Account Holder who created the survey is the data controller responsible for that data and for obtaining any necessary consents from their respondents.

We do not use survey response data collected by Account Holders for our own marketing or commercial purposes, and we do not sell such data to third parties.
Perspicx uses artificial intelligence to help Account Holders generate survey questions, configure logic flows, and design survey layouts. When you use these AI features, your inputs — including prompts, instructions, and any content you provide — are transmitted to Claude, an AI model developed by Anthropic, PBC, for processing. Anthropic may have access to such inputs as necessary to provide the service.
We do not use raw survey response data or personally identifiable information from your respondents to train AI models. We encourage Account Holders not to include sensitive personal data in AI prompts. Please review Anthropic's privacy policy for information on how they handle data submitted to their models.
AI-generated content is provided as a tool to assist you and does not constitute professional advice of any kind. You are solely responsible for reviewing and validating any AI-generated survey content before publishing it.
Perspicx does not sell your personal information. We may share your information with third parties only in the following circumstances:
We engage trusted third-party vendors to help us operate and improve the Services. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes of providing services to us and to maintain appropriate security standards. Our primary service providers include:

All data is hosted in the United States on DigitalOcean infrastructure, with MongoDB as our primary database. We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. IMPORTANT LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: No method of data transmission or electronic storage is completely secure. While we strive to protect your information using commercially reasonable practices, we cannot guarantee absolute security. By using the Services, you acknowledge and accept this inherent risk. In the event of a data security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law. Perspicx shall not be liable for any unauthorized access to, alteration of, or loss of your data resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to vulnerabilities in third-party infrastructure, acts of malicious third parties, or force majeure events. Our total liability for any data security incident shall not exceed the amounts paid by you to Perspicx in the twelve (12) months preceding the incident.
We retain your account information and survey data for as long as your account remains active, or as reasonably necessary to provide the Services to you. If you cancel your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within thirty (30) days of the account termination date, except as follows:
Survey response data collected on behalf of Account Holders is retained as directed by the Account Holder. Account Holders may delete their survey data at any time through their account dashboard. Deletion from the primary database is immediate; deletion from backup systems occurs within ninety (90) days.
We will not restore data from backups upon user request unless the loss of data was caused by a system or infrastructure failure on our part.
The Services are intended for use by individuals who are at least 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take prompt steps to delete that information.
Account Holders must not use Perspicx to collect data from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent in accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and other applicable laws.
